Ivy's kitchen heated up! The new microwave

Jan Brooks (right), teacher at the the University of Illinoise visits Ivy regularly every year when she accompanies and takes care of exchange student groups staying in Observatory, Cape Town to do social interships. This year the University of Illininoise 2015 Summer Study Tour (https://www.facebook.com/UofICapeTownSummerTrip2015/?fref=ts) collected money to donate a microwave that will allow Ivy to prepare some of the most demanded dishes for the rush hours to stay on top of the orders.

Ivy's customers are happy about the extra hot meals and we are more than greateful grateful.

The group not only had the pleasure of tasting Ivy's delicious food but also enjoyed a township braai (barbecue) along with some Xhosa language lessions to round up a traditional experience that will stay in their memory.
